Respect ain't just about respect
Today is Games day where all our warriors come in to compete for the 1st place. Long story short, 4 company, 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th coy. Goes without saying that we 3rd Coy Samurai came in 1stttt!!!! WOO!
But I'm here to share this awful experience which happened during the games. Once again, I'm involved in this shit. It happened at the Tug-O-War challenge where 4th Coy and 7th Coy are competing for the championship spot.
Here comes the part which piss me off. One recruit who was part of the cheering group was rooting for his own Coy, 7th Coy. Got too agitated and walk into the gaming zone where he was approached by our 3rd Coy Sgt who is in charge of the game. Our Sgt pulled him back.
The Recruit's reaction was shocking... He turn around and gave a very hard push at our Sgt. I shouted and confronted him saying that he has to respect the Sgt. He didn't give a shit and continue shouting at the Sgt and me. Wanted to start a fight with me. The Sgt was too nice, pull me away and ask me to forget about it. I truly respect the Sgt but I still believe he should have done something and charge that recruit.
He came and spoke with me after the incident. Explained that he didn't want to spoil the recruit's future. I am totally speechless. Respect. Sometimes its not about showing who's right. It's not about the rank, ain't about the respect anymore but to step back and be a wiser man. The Sgt is indeed a wiseman.
